Historical Mughal Era Monuments - Qutub Minar is 12th century 72.5m high Minar or Tower. Started by Qutub-Ud-Din-Aibak, first Mughal ruler of Delhi and completed in 1368 by Firoz Shah Tuglak. Humayun's Tomb completed in 1565AD, is testimony of Mughal architecture using red sandstone with marble dome. Jama Masjid is largest mosque of India, constructed by Shah Jahan in 1656AD. Red Fort is a magnificent red stone structure built in 17th century by Shah Jahan.

British Era Monuments - The structures are architectural marvels which attracts the visitors. Rashtrapati Bhavan or President's house was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and was completed in 1929, is spread in an area of 130hectares. Parliament house designed as circular structure of 171m diameter with 144 creamy sandstone pillars. India Gate is a memorial built in 1931 to commemorate the Indian solders killed in first world war.

Others - Raj Ghat, where mortal remains of Mahatma Gandhi were cremated is set in a garden. National Zoological Park is also known as Delhi Zoo and spread in an area of 214acres. National Museum at Janpath shows the historical collection of Indian civilisation from pre-historic times and see the finds of Indus Valley Civilisation, Budhist Gallery, Tribal arts, sculptures, miniature paintings and more. Art lovers can visit National Gallery of Modern Art to see the collection of paintings dating from 19th century. For Rail lovers, Rail Transport Museum displays 27 locomotives and 17 carriages. Catch oldest steam engine in the world, Fairy Queen of 1855. Other Museums are Nehru Memorial Museum, Gandhi Memorial Museum, Dolls Museum, Craft Museum worth spending some time.
Religious Places- Lotus Temple, the Bahai House is a place of worship in the shape of lotus. Birla Mandir (Laxmi Narayan Temple) dedicated to goddess of wealth, Laxmi and Lord Vishnu. Dedicated to Lord Krishna is ISKCON temple. St.James Church located near Kashmiri Gate in north Delhi is oldest church in Delhi, consecrated in 1836. Visit Aurobindo Ashram in south Delhi.
